KING KONG!!...
Well as most of you would probably know now, King Kong has won 3 Oscars the one we were all waiting for was Visual Effects, and WE WON!!! which was awesome to see our hard work rewarded in this way. The competition as always, was incredible with Narnia and war of the worlds...but we were able to keep VFX oscar to Weta for another year...The atmosphere at the party was electric and a real sense of relief fell over the party. The other 2 oscars we recieved were for Sound Mixing and Sound Editing, which was another huge moment for those involved in this film. I feel extremely priveleged to of been a part of such an amazing group of people, and the Lord has made this some of the most incredible years of my life.

and here is a pic of the team who recieved the VFX oscars, Brian being my old Boss in Cameras. Extremely talented and funny guy.

Congradulations on the oscar! That must be really exciting! I'm glad to hear things are going well for you. I'm secretly hoping your next job will take you to NY or LA, but I just hope you find something that will be exciting for you. Marcy

Yeah it was awesome, kind of hard to believe that it is all over now.
I am still thinkin about moving over to LA, New York or Canada somewhere, but I am having to really push my work at home to get into new areas of effects.
