Well the other day south of Wellington, we had a 7.6 earthquake that was centred around Raoul Island which is closer to Christchurch! you can check the info out on this website...earthquake site the funny thing is I didnt even feel this one...One of my mates here at work said that he was sitting at home, and felt the whole house shake for a decent amount of time, and was wondering whether this was something more serious!! It is amazing how many time we have earthquakes here and not even realise there had been one...

think I would prefer being out of a quake city....but hey it is where the work is at the moment!!
yeah, we miss it over here, nobody has earthquake drills, theres no emergecy axe and rope hidden in some big orange cupboard down the hall at work.. kinda weird not having the ground move every once in a while
good bit is not having to worry about the building fall on you at night!
